Abstract: A series of N-ferrocenoylarylhydroxylamines have been synthesized by the partial acy-lation of arylhydroxylamines with the ferrocenoyl chloride. These organometallic compounds can act as ligands for metal chelation and their Cu(Ⅱ) chelates have been isolated. The ligands and chelates have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMRspectra. The chelates can act as solid propellant burning rate modifiers.

Key words: Ferrocenoylation, Arylhydroxylamine, Copper (Ⅱ) chelates of N-ferrocenoyl-arylhydroxylamine
