Abstract: It is reported that cedrol(1) complexed with phenol type compounds, such as phenol(2), o-cresol(3), w-cresol (4), p-cresol(5) and formed new clathrate compounds. Melting points of these crystal clathrate compounds, (l)+(2), (l)+(3), (1)+(4) and (1)+(5) are 54-56℃, 43- 44℃, 48-49℃ and 56-58℃, and their molar ratios(cedrol/phenol, in the same sequence) are 1: 1, 1: 1, 1: 0. 79, 1: 0. 77, respectively. The results of X-ray and IRof the inclusion compounds were given.

Key words: Clathrate compounds, Cedrol, Phenol type compound
