Studies on Polymerization of a -Pinene Initiated by a New System AlCl3/Activator/Donors(Ⅱ)--Studies on Polymer of α-Pinene and Polymerization Mechanism

Abstract: The characteristic of polymerization of a-pinene initiated by a new initiating system AlCl3/SbCl3/Donor was studied by several spectroscopies, and they were compared with that obtained under the varied polymerization conditions. The results indicate that the product with a high molecular weight is obtained with different molecular structure units. According to the experimental data, the ring-opening polymerization mechanism of a-pinene polymerization initiated with this system is put forward.
