Identification of the Configurations of dl and meso-diethyl-2,3-dicyano-2,3-diphenyl Succinates and Its p-(X)-Substituted Phenyl Derivatives by FAB-B/E Link Scan Metastable Ion Spectrometry

Abstract: In this paper, three pairs of dl and meso-diethyl-2,3-dicyano-2,3-diphenyl succinate and its derivatives of p-(X)substituted phenyl succinates(X=H,CH3,OCH3) were analyzed by using FAB-B/Elinked scan metastable ion spectrometry. The effect and applicability of this method in identification of the configuration of these isomers were discussed.
