Abstract: Aseries of new complexes [LnCl2(Ph3PO)4][CuCl3] were prepared (Ln = La, Ce,Pr,Nd, Sm,Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Y).X-ray diffraction crystallographic structural analysis for [GdCl2 (Ph3PO)4] [CuCl3] reveals Gd(Ⅲ) is of hexa-coordinated distorted octahedral configuration and Cu(Ⅱ) is of tri-coordinated trigonal planar configuration. All the complexes are characterized by IR, 31P NMR,and ESR.The conditions for the synthesis of the title complexes are discussed.
