Abstract: Effects of polyethylene glycols, quaternary ammonium salt and acyclic polyether amine on the yields of N-alkylation of benzotriazolc in liquid-liquid phases were examined.Selecting better a-cyclic polyether aminc as phase transfer catalyst, alkylhalids as alkylating agents, we have synthesized seven N-alkyl benzotriazoles. The results show that acyclic polyether amine is good liquid-liquid phase transfer catalyst and the yields of the N-alkylated products are high.
