Investigation on Polarography with Linearly Changing Potential (X)——Oxidation of Dihydronicotinamide Adenine Oinucleotide at a Glassy Carbon Electrode

Abstract: Oxidation of dihydronicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH) at a glassy carbon electrode is investigated in this paper.The oxidation of NADHis a totally irreversible reaction with single electron and obeys the peak current equation for a totally irreversible wave after the electrode surface has been pretreated and washed electrochemically.The diffusion coefficient, transfer coefficient and the rate constants were determined,and the mechanism of oxidation of NADHis also discussed.
