Abstract: For pentadiene and methylated pentadiene, CH3CH=C(CH3) CH=CH2(1), CH5C(CH3)=CHCH=CH2 (2),CH3CH=C(CH3)C(CH3)=CH2(3),CH3C(CH3) =CHC(CH3)=CH2 (4), CH3C(CH3)=C(CH3) C(CH3)=CH2 (5), and CH3CH=CHCH=CH2 (6), EI, CI, mass spectra were recorded, and the samples (1), (3), (5) of them were determined by metastable and high resolution technique simultaneously. On the basis of these, the fragmentation rules and mechanisms of methylated pentadiene have been suggested.
