Abstract: The kinetics of anionic equilibrium polymerization of α-methylstyrene in the cyclohexane solution, with n-butyllithium as an initiator and tetrahydrofuran as an additive, was investigated. In the present paper.the reactive species in the system are discussed and the mechanism of polymerization is postulated. The relationships of equilibrium monomer concentration with respact to the rate constants of reactive species and the concentration of additive are obtained at 20℃.
