Zero-current Oscillo-bipotentiometric Titration on Two Ag-TPB Electrodes

Abstract: Silver tetraphenylborate(Ag-TPB) electrodes were prepared by successive soaking of silver plate (or graphite rod or platinum plate) in separate 0.05 rnol/Laqueous-solutions of Na-TPBand AgNO3 for 0.5 hour.The plate or rod was then-washed thoroughly with distilled water untill free from silver ions. Such electrodes can be-used as indicator electrodes for bipotentiometric titration of Na-TPB with AgNO3. The sudden change of potential difference(AE) between two indicator electrodes at the end point was observed with an oscillograph. The method has remarkable advantages over the ordinary bipotentiometric method and can be used in medicine analysis.
