Abstract: Two new hydrocarbyl substitued pentamethoxycarbonylcyclopcntadienes have been synthesized from hydrocarbyl halides and potassium or thallium pentametho-xycarbonylcyclopentadiene.The identification of these compounds show that they all have carbon linkage at the ring carbon of cyclopentadiene.
