Abstract: In this paper, we reported the experimental results of synthesis of bisphenol-Spolyarylester by phase transfer catalysis technique as well as the monomer preparation. The effect of the same factors on polymerization was discussed. It was shown that it was possible to prepare bisphenol-Spolyarylester with high molecular weight using quaternary ammonium salt as a phase transfer catalysis at 30℃. The bisphcnol-Spolyarylester exhibited excellent transparency, electronic properties, especially mechanical properties even at 150℃. Transmittancy of visible light is 87%, tensile yield stress of room temperature 637 kg/cm2, Tg208℃, dielectric constant 3.6, breakdown voltage 150 kV/mm.
