Abstract: This paper reports a simple preparative method of benzalchloroimine-1-d. The kinetic study on the reaction of benzalchloroimine Ia-b with diphenyl sulfide in benzene has been carried out. From, p value of Hammett equation and the kinetic isotope effect, its mechanism of reaction was tendered.
