Abstract: 1:1 complexes of La,Nd and Yb isothiocyanates with a 'O4N2' ( 1,7,10,16-tetraoxa 4,13-diazacyclooctudecane ) macrocyclic ligand have been prepared in acctonitrile using triethyl ortho-formate as a dehydrating agent.
