Abstract: In order to prevent moisture regain and hydrolysis of specimen,a method of directly chlorinating the rare earth oxide is recommended for thermal analysis of the systems containing rare earth chlorides.Using the method,partial fusibility diagrams of NdCl3-KCl·NaCl-NaFand NdCl3-KCl·NaCl-CaF2 systems arc constructed.
