Abstract: The preparation of lithium diarylcuprate and the reactions between lithium diarylcupratc and α-O-tctraacetyl-D-glucopyranosyl chloride were reported,1-β-Aryl-O-tetraacetyl-D-glucopyranosc,2-hydroxy-2,3,4,6-O-tetraacctyl-D-glucal from elimination reaction of acyl glucopyranosyl chloride,and a small amount of phenol,probably from the addition of water to benzyne were isolated from the reaction mixture by column chromatography.
