Abstract: The synthesis of a new tailed porphyrin--meso-mono (ο-4-(diethylamino)butyramidophenyl) triphenylporphyrin is reported. The new tailed porphyrin has been well characterized by UV/visible,. IR, 1HNMR, 13CNMRand elemental analysis. Some properties of its complex with transition metal are studied.
