Abstract: Aromatic ortho-diamine can react as a nucleophile with trans-trifluoroacetyleth-oxyethylene to give a bis(N-trifluoroacetylethenyl)-substituted diamine, which in turn gives 10π aromatic benzoheterocyclic compounds through dehydration-cyclization. The reaction mechanism and structure characterization are presented.
