Abstract: Acetylacetones were treated by m-nitro-ω-bromoacetophenones to give l-(m-nitrophenyl) -3-acetyl-1, 4-pentandiketone(1). 9 new 1-aryl-2-methyl-3-acetyl-5-(m-nitrophenyl)pyrroles (2)-(10) have been synthesized by reaction of (1)with various primary amines. Semicarbazoncs were prepared from (2)-(10).Compounds(1)-(10) and the Semicarbazoncs were reported for the first time.
