Abstract: In the paper we describe a modification of Bercaw's method to prepare pentamethycyclopentadiene, which was characterized by Chromatography-mass Spectrometry, Chromatography-infrared Spectrometry, Raman, UV, and 1H, 13C NMR Spectrometry.
