The Research on the Crystal Structure of the Complex of Platinum Di (Triphenylphosphine) Methyl Formate Chloride

Abstract: The crystal is light yellow and transparent. It belongs to space group P21/n of monoclinic system with unit cell constants a = 12.239(6)Å, b = 23.697(8)Å, c = 12.802(5)Å, β=113.86(2)°, V = 3396(1) Å3 ,F(000) = 1548 (e), Z = 4 and has a formula of PtCP(C6H5)3]2 COOCH3 Cl. A final consistency factor R=0.0692(Rw = 0.0519) was given by the block-diagonal least-squares refinement for the crystal structure. The result of structure analysis shows that this new complex consists of two triphenylphosphines, me methyl formate and one chlorine atom bonded by coordinate bonds.
