STUDIES ON THE CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS OF THE CHINESE MEDICINAL HERB ANEMONE RADDEANA REGEL

Abstract: The Chinese medicinal herb, Anemone raddeana Regel, has been used for treatment of rheumatism and phlebitis etc. in folk medicine. Eight compounds, numbered 1, 2, R0, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, have been isolated from this plant.By spectroscopic and chemical methods, 1, 2 and R0 have been identified as follows:1, Diosgenin; 2, Oleanolic acid; R0, 3-O-[α-L-arabinopyranosyl]-oleanolic acid.
