STUDIES ON THE CONSTITUENTS OF SAUSSUREA INVOLUCRATA KAR. ET KIN. (Ⅰ)

Abstract: Five different crystals have been obtained for the first time from Saussurea involucrata Kar. et Kin. growing in Xinjiang Province. They were identified as: (Ⅰ) Quercetin, (Ⅱ)4', 5, 7-trihydroxy-3', 6-dimethoxy flavone, (Ⅲ)4', 5,7-trihydroxy-6-methoxy flavone (hispi-dulin), (Ⅳ)a compound presumably to be a glycoside and its structure is being studied, (Ⅴ) Rutin.
