Abstract: We have for the first time prepared solutions of 3 stable cerium-tungsten heteropoly acids. Their anionic constitutions are CeW8O284-, CeW10O356-, and CeW12O428-. Preparation conditions of these heteropoly acids have been studied.Solid 12-tungstoceric acid has been isolated by the use of ion exchange-acidification method and examined with infrared spectrography, X-ray diffraction and differential thermal analysis.
