Abstract: The shrinkage- compensation effects of five polymers such as PS, PE, PVC, 330* polyether, alkyd resin on 191^* unsaturated polyester were examined.These polymers were used in the preparation of low-profile sheet-molding and bulk-molding compounds and the mechanical and thermal properties of these products were also determined.The properties of these modified unsaturated polyesters are satisfactory.
