Abstract: Transformation catalyzed by enzymes and microorganisms (biotransformation) is now well recognized as valuable tool in preparation of chiral intermediates. In this presentation the microbial reduction by G38, a fungus isolated from soil, PPL catalyzed acylation of a meso-diol and synthesis of (R)-cyanohydrins by (R)-oxynitrilase under microaqueous medium were described.
