STUDY ON SYNTHESIS ANp CHARACTERIZATION OF THE COMPLEX OF Eu (Ⅱ) PERCHLQRATE AND DIBENZO-18-CROWN-6

Abstract: The complex of Eu(ClO4)2 and dibenzo-18-crown-6 ( L ) has been prepared in solid state and characterized by elemental analysis, X-ray diffraction, TG-DTA, IR and photoacoustic spectra, as well as fluorescence emission spectra.The complex is proved to be Eu(ClO4)2·L. This complex changes from colourless to a pale blue when irradiated with sunlight, but restores gradually to its original state in the dark.
