Abstract: The various methods for preparing light rare earth nitrates and their hydrates and the drying conditions of these hydrate crystals have been investigataed.The practical methods for preparing Ln(NO3)3nH2O(Ln=La,Pr,Nd,Sm;n=6,5,4,2,1)and La(NO3)3 have been presented.
