From the roots of rodgersia aesculifolia batal, ten constituents were isolated and identified, among which nine compounds were found in this Chinese medicinal herd for first time. Compound Ⅱ and compound Ⅳ were two new compounds. Their structures were elucidated by means of spectral as well as chemical methods as 7-methoxybergenin and methyl-2,6-dihydroxyphcnyl acetate respectively.
