Abstract: Immobilized β-cyclodextrin polymer was used as medical sorbent for removal of exogenous toxins such as-phenol, aromatic amines, barbitals and endogenous toxin as unconjugated bilirubin. The results show that the adsorption capacity for these toxins can be enhanced due to the inclusion interaction between β -cyclodextrin and the substrate molecule.
