Abstract: The reaction kinetics between MoOS2(S2CNEt2)2 and PPh3 was studied in various organic solvents with the aid of the stopped-flow technique. The linear relationships between the kinetic parameters, such as In k, activation energy E, and a function of dielectric constant of solvents (ε- 1)/ (2ε+1) were found. The reaction mechanism is also discussed in this paper.
