Studies on Phase Chemistry of Meyer′s Reaction of Compound Formation in Alkali Metal Bromide/Rare Earth Metal Tribromide Systems (I) ──A Study on Quaternary System CsBr-LaBr3-HBr(12%)-H2O(25℃)

Abstract: Phase chemistry relation of quaternary system CsBr-LaBr3-HBr (12%)-H2O at 25℃ was studied in this paper for the first time,the corresponding equilibrium diagram was constructed.Akind of new compound is discovered in the system,At the same time,X-ray powder diffraction, thermal analysis (TG and DTA) and polarization-character of the new compound obtained from the system were investigated.Comparing the system with quaternary system CsCl-LaCl3-HCl (13%)-H2O (25℃) ,bromide system and chloride system are very different in numbers,formula types of the compounds,and in phase chemical behavior.
