Oxido-Rearrangement of Silyl Enol Ethers of Flavanones to Isoflavones

Abstract: Reaction of silyl enol ethers of flayanones (I) with PhIO-BF3 results in oxido-rearrangemerit of the aryl from C2 to C3 to yield isoflavones(Ⅱ). The position of Rmay be retained. The yields of Ⅱ are about 70%.
