Abstract: The SOD model compound-catalyzed dismutation reaction of superoxide ion O2- in aprotic solvent has been studied by tast polarography.Asimplified function is made to replace the exact solution of the kinetic differential equantion with error less than 1%.The catalytic dismutation rate constant k1 is determined by the measurement of the ratio between the catalytic and diffusional current as a function of SOD model compound concentration and the drop time of dropping mercury electrode.
