Abstract: A novel two-photon fluorescent probe DMNS2O was synthesized and characterized via NMR and MS. It contains an 1-oxa-4,10-dithia-7-aza-cyclododecane receptor and a distyrylbenzene fluorophore. Crystal structure was detected through X-ray diffraction. Consequent analysis results show that both CC double bonds exist as trans configuration, and the dihedral angle between the three benzene ring were 24.6°and 37.5°, respectively. The maxima absorption and emission of DMNS2O in acetonitrile were at 460 nm and 600 nm, respectively. Variations of emission spectra were detected upon the addition of different metal ions. It was found that the addition of Ag+ and Zn2+ to DMNS2O caused a new strong emission peak at 420 nm, the emission peak intensity at 600 nm decreased. Two-photon excitation fluorescence spectrum was obtained by excitation at 780 nm.
