Abstract: The electrochemical and catalytic properties of PmClAn modified electrode were studied by cyclic voltammetry. The results showed that PmClAn had an excellent electroactivity and proton doping increased the electroactivity. The Pt particles electrodeposited on PmClAn trend towards preferred orientation, and Pt(200) was the preferred face. It was also found that platinized PmClAn promotes isopropanol oxidation, the polymer is not only as a dispersion media of Pt particles forming a "microheterogeneous catalysis system", but also has effect on electronic properties of Pt.
