Abstract: The osmotic coefficients and activity coefficients of sodium benzenesulfonate, sodium beivenesulfinate, sodium p-aminobenzenesulfonate, sodium p-hydroxybenzenesulfonate and sodium m-nitrobenzenesulfonate in aqueous solution have been determined at 298.15 Kby the isopiestic method. The excess molar Gibbs free energies were calculated from the osmotic and activity coefficients.

Key words: Isopiestic method, Osmotic coefficient, Activity coefficient, Excess molar Gibbs free energy.
