A Study on Vapour-Liquid Equilibrium of Binary System for Ethyl Acetate and Water

Abstract: The isobaric Vapor-Liquid equilibrium data at 760 mmHg of binary system for ethyl acetate and water have been determined by a self-designed equilibrium still and tested to be in keeping with thermodynamic consistency by Herrington empirical method. Compared with the values calculated by 13 correlated equations of activity coefficient, the data are fairly satisfactory, in particular, the imitation accuracy of the values obtained by McCann equation are the best.
