THALLIUM-205 NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE STUDY OF THALLIUM COMPLEX WITH 18-CROWN-6 IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION

Abstract: The thermodynamics parameters for the reaction of 18-crown-6 with Tl( I ) in water were determined by using NMR. The stability constant, enthalpy, entropy, and free energy were calculated to be lgK = 2.11 ±0.02, AH = -4.49±0.17 kcal/mol, △S = -5.35 ±0.54 cal/mol and △G0=-2.88 kcal/mol at 25.1℃, respectively. These values were in good agreement with values reported in the literature.
