A KINETIC STUDY OF ALTERNATING COPOLYMERIZATION OF BUTADIENE AND PROPYLENE BASED ON VANADIUM-ALUMINIUM CATALYST (Ⅰ)——RATE EQUATION OF ALTERNATIOG COPOLYMERIZATION

Abstract: A kinetic character of alternating copolymerization of butadiene and propylene based on VO[OCH2C(CH3)3]2 Cl-Al (i-Bu)3 catalyst was studied. The first order dependence on monomer and catalyst concentration was determined. It was suggested that the rate equation of copolymerization is: -d[M]/dt=ka[Cat][M]] The first order rate constant in the temperature range - 20℃——80℃ and the total activation energy were also obtained.
