Abstract: Up to date, the orders of many physical properties, such as reduced retention time on gas chromatography, solubilities, solvation, boiling points, etc.cannot be explained satisfactorily with the dipole moment, polarizibility and molecular weight of the molecule as well as the consideration of the formation of hydrogen bond and electron-transfer complex. It is caused by the selectivity of intermolecular force, in other words, by the presence of some unknown specific interaction between the molecules, described by many authors. The authors have investigated the intermolecular forces among various compounds, by applying the combined method of gas chromatography and molecular models. The observed results show that the presence of the strengthening interaction between the adaptable groups existing on the different compounds respectively.
